Karah Neisser was a freshman in Milford High School when she got nominated by the Academy in a letter signed by Dr. John C. Mather. Dr. Mather is a winner of the Nobel Prize in Physics and is the science director of the Academy.
What caught the attention of the Academy? The answer is quite simple. It was Neisser’s passion for science and her determination to constantly learn more. It was obvious she would be a good fit at the Congress.
Neisser is a strong advocate of the STEM education system. STEM education modules revolve around four major topics: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Top students of STEM education structured the Congress’ honors program. High school teachers send in detailed recommendations of their choices.
